John Colvin, John Colvin Glass Consultant
Determination of the glass types to be specified in buildings depends on the materials available and the requirements placed upon them. Glass manufacturers have a large range of products which can cope with many of the requirements, but these products may only be available in limited sizes and thicknesses. Also some of the requirements in combination may need contradictory properties from the glass products. This paper attempts to give general information about the availability of glass products and their limitations. For detailed information, the manufacturers or suppliers should be consulted.
